Brazil, the country of football

The first edition of the World Cup was in 1930, however, Brazil only won the title in 1958.
However, when he won, the following year, he already won his second championship, placing himself at the top of the football world.
So no more waiting and let's check out how all the World Cups in which Brazil were champions went.
1958 – The first trophy
Brazil's first achievement was the sixth edition of the competition that took place in Sweden.
Only 16 teams participated, and Brazil was one of the only non-European teams to make up the competition.
The first clashes were against Austria and the Soviet Union, Brazil won without many problems, the competition began to get complicated against them.
The main highlights of this first phase are the players Pelé, Garrincha, Vavá and Didi.
As at that time there were fewer teams, after the group stage of the competition the teams went straight to the quarter-finals.
This stage saw Brazil face Wales, however, the game was not as easy as in the group stage.
The only goal of the match was Pelé's first goal in the competition, at just 17 years old, he was already decisive for Brazil in world cups.
The semi-final was also tough, the Brazilian team faced the powerful France, but the Brazilian team was inspired and killed the game quickly.
With highlights for Pelé, who scored three more goals.
The grand final was against the hosts, Sweden, but no hospitality from Brazil, who went all out.
The match ended 5 x 2, with a show from Zagallo and Pelé.
1962 – The second championship belongs to Brazil
At that time, only the Italian and Uruguayan teams won the competition twice, and Brazil joined the select group of two-time World Cup champions.
Furthermore, he won consecutively, a feat that only Brazil and Italy have achieved to date.
The 1962 World Cup took place in Chile, South American soil, Brazil was at home this time.
But this time there was a scare, the star player Pelé was injured in the first match, however, he was replaced by Amarildo, who managed to make up for some of the lack that the number 10 made.
Brazil beat Mexico and Spain, and ended up drawing with Czechoslovakia in the group stage.
In the qualifiers he easily passed England and hosts Chile, with Pele out, Garrincha was Brazil's protagonist.
The grand final was against the team that the Brazilian team had difficulty defeating in the group stage, Czechoslovakia.
With Pelé on the field, Brazil was unable to win, in the absence of the star, the fear of defeat was great.
However, Amarildo, a player who came in with the difficult task of replacing Pelé, played a great game and the match went well for the Brazilian team, who won by a solid 4 x 2 score.
1970 – Squadron brings the tri to Brazil
After their second title, Brazil was the competition's favorite, and had players such as Pelé, Jairzinho and Rivellino in their squad.
It was a very special year for our country, as it was the first time that the games were broadcast live.
With a squad of excellent players, Brazil easily won this title.
Firstly, going through the group stage, which contained the teams from England, Romania and Czechoslovakia.
In the qualifiers, they left behind Peru and two-time champion Uruguay.
In the grand final, they faced the other two-time champion team, Italy, in a very close game at the beginning, but which ended up with a large advantage for the Brazilian team, with a score of 4 x 1.
With this title, Brazil claimed supremacy in football and became the only team to win the World Cup three times.
1994 – The return of Brazil
After winning the tri, Brazil went 24 years without winning the competition, and no longer had magical players like Pelé and Garrincha.
It was then that at the World Cup in the United States, the Brazilian team reaffirmed its supremacy in football.
Now, the World Cup already had the participation of 24 teams, therefore, winning it was more difficult.
After qualifying for the knockout stages in a group with Russia, Cameroon and Sweden, Brazil faced the host, the United States.
They won by a slim score, just 1 x 0, in the quarter-finals, and had to go through the Netherlands.
Once again, Brazil faced Italy in a World Cup final, and the confrontation was one of the best matches in the history of the competition.
After a very difficult game for both sides, the final went to penalties for the first time in history.
At that moment, Italy had also won its third championship, and what was at stake was the fourth title.
On penalties, Romário, Branco and Dunga scored for Brazil, the great star of the Italian team, Roberto Baggio isolated his shot, thus giving Brazil the victory.
2002 – Everyone tries, but only Brazil is five
This year Brazil won the title that keeps it at the top of the teams to this day.
This time, Brazil had a slightly weaker group draw and easily passed the teams from Turkey, China and Costa Rica.
The great responsibility of bringing the title to Brazil fell to the great stars, Rivaldo and Ronaldo.
The first challenge was against Belgium in the round of 16, where Brazil won 2 x 0, and the second against England, where the game ended 2 x 1 in a very difficult game.
The semi-final was another very competitive match, however, Ronaldo Fenômeno was going through an incredible phase and tried to send Brazil to the final.
Furthermore, as if the show in the semis wasn't enough, in the grand final, against the powerful Germany, Fenômeno scored both victories.
With this title, Brazil once again isolated itself as the greatest team, and forever placed its name in history as the country of football.
