What is Copa do Nordeste live?
Nordestão, or rather, Copa do Nordeste, is a competition that brings together clubs from different states in this region, such as Ceará, Bahia and Pernambuco.
Clubs are selected according to a set of CBF criteria, which define which clubs will compete in the Competition.
The competition began in 1994, and after many changes and gaps between editions, we reached the format in which the competition operates today.
How does this championship work?
The Copa do Nordeste features the participation of the 12 best clubs from the regions of Ceará, Bahia and Pernambuco.
The competition is divided into a group stage and a knockout stage, see the details below:
Firstly, in the group stage, these 12 teams are divided between group A and Group B, where the teams from the first group will face those from the second group.
All of this follows the rules of running points, therefore, the team that wins gets three points, the one that draws gets only one, and the one that loses gets no points.
At the end of all rounds, the four best teams in each group advance to the knockout stage.
Finally, in the knockout stage, the teams play quarter-finals and semi-finals in single games, and in the final, a round-trip match.
