The Brazilian team, with the victory against Switzerland, is in a very comfortable position.

Joining the select group of three teams that managed to win the first two games of the initial stage.

France, Brazil and Portugal are already in the round of 16, it just remains to be seen who their opponents will be.

Check out the next game in search of hexa:

  • Brazil x Cameroon – Friday, 12/02 – 4 pm.

However, after defeating the two main teams, Switzerland and Serbia, this last game of the group stage will be an opportunity for Tite to test some players, and save others.

Group G classification:

  • 1st Brazil – 6 points
  • 2nd Switzerland – 3 points
  • 3rd Cameroon – 1 point
  • 4th Serbia – 1 point

The Canary Islands team, with a total of six points, and a goal difference of three, that is, the only team that can qualify above Brazil, are the Swiss, who need to win at least 3 x 0 against Serbia, and hope for the Brazilian team to lose to Cameroon.

On the other hand, seeing the pace of the games, the likely classification will be Brazil in first place.

Brazil in the round of 16: Check the game time and possible opponents

With the score guaranteed by Brazil, we will qualify first in the group, and, therefore, we will play against the second placed team in Group H. See the day and time:

  • Brazil x Second place in Group H – Monday, 12/05 -4 pm.

Even though it is a very difficult situation, if Switzerland manages to reach the top of the table, Brazil will play the following day:

  • Brazil x First placed group H – Tuesday, 12/06 – 4 pm

The situation of the group where Brazil's opponent will emerge is very undefined. See who could be the team to face us:

  • Portugal – 6 points
  • Ghana – 3 points
  • South Korea – 1 point
  • Uruguay – 1 point

Portugal, like Brazil, is already classified in advance, however, second place, our likely direct opponent, is still open.

All teams in the group have a good chance of qualifying.

Goal difference is a tiebreaker when two teams have the same number of points, and it will certainly have to be used in this group.

Ghana, with the victory over South Korea is the closest to advancing, however, they will face the powerful Uruguay team, in the next game in a direct confrontation for the place, if they win or draw they will qualify and face Brazil.

The Uruguayans need to win the game with at least a two-goal difference to overtake Ghana and get through to the next stage, so if they do, they will be our opponents in the round of 16.

South Korea is the most unlikely classification, they will have to beat the undefeated Portugal team, and, in addition, have a good goal difference to stay ahead of their competitors in the tiebreaker criteria.

Using logic, Brazil's opponent in the round of 16 will probably come out of the clash between Uruguay and Ghana, keep an eye out and follow along with us.

Brazil in the quarter finals: Check the game time and possible opponents

If Brazil advances to a possible quarter-final, they will play on the following day:

  • Brazil x Winner of the clash between 1st in Group E x 2nd group F Friday, 12/09 – 12 noon

Brazil's opponent in a possible fourth final, depending on the seeding, will be defined by the duel between the first place in group E, and the second place in group F.

With Spain and Morocco as the respective teams in these positions, Brazil's opponent would emerge from this confrontation.

Brazil in the Semifinal: Check the game time and possible opponents

In a possible semi-final, if Brazil advances, it will be on the day:

  • Brazil x Netherlands/USA/Argentina/Denmark Tuesday, 12/09 – 4pm

As previously mentioned, the current classifications of the teams in their groups are being used, a brief prediction of the next games for each team, and the logic of the scores.

The key to a possible opponent for Brazil in a World Cup are the winners of:

Netherlands x USA – 1st place group A x 2nd place group B

Argentina x Denmark – 1st place group C x 2nd place group D

We could have an Argentina x Brazil in a World Cup qualifier, as a direct opponent involves a dispute between these 4 teams.

If Brazil reaches a final, they will play on the following day:

  • Brazil x Winner of the lower bracket of the World Cup – Tuesday, 12/13 – 4 pm

Now, it's too early to define the outcome of an entire bracket, but we will make some guesses based on the current rankings of the teams.

Considering that the best placed teams will face weaker teams, see:

Our main teams that will possibly advance to the quarterfinals are France, Portugal, and England.

Since according to the classifications in the group stage, the 1st place team faces the team that came 2nd in the following group, that is, in theory, the strongest teams face the weakest.

If Brazil advances to the final, a good guess is that their opponent will be France, as they are the team with the best use of this B side.

And who do you think can be champion of this World Cup?

Richarlison, the new number 9 of the Brazilian team
