Brazil x Croatia
Brazil arrives at this stage very confident after beating South Korea 4-1, with a team playing high-level football.
After France, Brazil has perhaps one of the highest number of injuries, since the start of the World Cup until now, players Neymar, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus have been injured.
Some of them returned to play after some recovery time, others are already out of the competition.
Even with some injuries, Tite managed to find balance in the team. The left-back options, Alex Sandro and Alex Telles, asked for some changes.
The professor used Éder Militão as a direct full-back and Danilo as a left-back to fill this role, as both official players are injured.
Furthermore, one of the Brazilian team's biggest problems in the last World Cups was the difficulty in scoring goals and the dependence on Neymar, however, now with Vini Jr, Raphinha and company, Croatia will have problems stopping this attack.
Unlike Brazil, the Croatians haven't been playing good games and, even without any injuries, the team doesn't seem to have found its place in this World Cup.
Against teams with less tactical power, they manage to stand out with good exchanges of passes. Modric and Perisic maintain good control of the game.
However, when they face teams with a more organized defense system, they struggle to reach the opponent's goal.
When it comes to the defensive part, in slightly more structured attacks, the Croatian defense also fails in marking, especially in aerial balls.
This is the scenario of the game between Brazil and Croatia. The European team was a finalist in the last World Cup and cannot be underestimated, in the same way Brazil is at the Hexa headquarters.
Netherlands x Argentina
One of the clashes that will directly interfere with Brazil's path. By the way, who will be our team’s opponent?
The Netherlands have not been having one of their best campaigns, and had difficulty getting through against weaker teams in their group.
If I had fallen into a slightly stronger group, I would have run a serious risk of being left out of this World Cup.
The important thing was that this team met after a few games, and against the United States team, they demonstrated a very robust defense.
Considering the problems that Argentina faces in its attack, the Dutch come out ahead.
The Albiceleste team had certain problems in their campaign in the group stage, even more so than the Netherlands.
They lost the opening game to Saudi Arabia, having several wasted goals. If Argentina needs the number of shots they needed in other games to score a goal, they will be frustrated when facing the Dutch defense.
Therefore, the game is promising: Argentina's attack has Messi, Dí Maria and Julián Álvarez, against the Dutch wall of Ligt, van Dijk and company.
Morocco x Portugal
One of the most unexpected clashes, no one would bet that Morocco would even make it past the group stage.
The Moroccans left Belgium and Croatia behind in their group, and ended up defeating Spain in the round of 16, who were one of the favorites, in a dramatic duel from start to finish.
Highlights for Hakimi and Amrabat, who led the team to victory this Tuesday, 12/06.
A victory for an entire people, who until 1956 were colonies of Spain, and today they won in football and are in the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the first time.
Portugal will face an extremely organized and well-trained team as opponents.
The Portuguese are coming off a very convincing victory against Switzerland, by a score of 6 x 1, and even with Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench, there was no shortage of players to score goals.
Without a doubt, they remain favorites, even more so after demonstrating all the offensive power of their attackers.
Just seeing the names of the players on paper, in the team lineups, it can be said that Portugal will face the weakest team in these quarter-finals, but if we count on Morocco's incredible collective, neither of the two teams will find it an easy game.
England x France
The most anticipated duel of these World Cup quarter-finals, between current champions France, and the England team.
The English have a team full of European stars and talents, and will face a great confrontation in the quarter-finals of this World Cup.
France arrived as the favorite for the title, as always happens with the champion the following year.
However, the number of absences due to injury took away this favoritism from the French. With the great protagonists of the 2018 conquest gone, such as Pogba, Kimpembe and Kanté, the title seemed increasingly distant.
However, France did not become worse, it became different. The team found a lighter way of playing, with a compact defense and a loose attack to work with.
England came to the World Cup with a complete team, without many injuries, and is betting on its young players like Saka and Bellingham to win this match.
