Argentina x Saudi Arabia
Los Hermanos has a habit of losing in their World Cup debuts, in 82 and 90, the Albiceleste team lost in their debut, yet they had a great campaign.
The Saudi Arabian team only made it past the group stage once, however, now with this victory over Argentina, this team's chances of progressing to the stage are very high.
The victory was greatly celebrated by Saudi fans, so much so that the king of the country declared a holiday. Parties celebrating the victory took place throughout the country.
The game started completely in favor of Argentina, with Messi having a lot of presence on the field, however, after the goal he scored from the penalty spot, after Walls was tackled in the area, the number ten didn't shine much.
But it was no accident, it was not an option, the Saudi team canceled the player. Playing with a high marking line, Argentina's midfield worked under pressure and was unable to produce.
Then, in a moment of drowsiness for the Argentines, Saudi Arabia killed the game in two quick moves.
The first goal with Alshehri in a quick counterattack, and the second in a beautiful individual play by Aldawsari.
After the Saudis' goals, Argentina did not present much danger, the Arab team's defenders defended very consistently and secured the victory.
Denmark x Tunisia
In this second game, the first 0-0 of the World Cup was scored, despite the lack of goals, the score was not fair to both teams.
The biggest culprits for the boring score were the offside calls, and mainly the performance of the two goalkeepers.
The game started better for Tunisia, who, in the 11th minute, almost found Schmeichel, Denmark's goalkeeper, with a header.
Until then, at 22 minutes, Tunisia found the net, but the player who scored was offside.
In the second half, the teams came back with more desire and took more risks.
Tunisia scored again in the 9th minute with Olsen, however, again the player was in an offside position.
After these quick appearances, the Danes dominated the game, managed to keep possession of the ball and started to create more.
With Eriksen, Dolberg and Maehle, the Nordics had some chances to open the scoring, but Dahmen, Tunisia's goalkeeper, stopped all the opponent's attempts, and was the main culprit for managing to keep the score 0-0.
Mexico x Poland
After Tunisia and Denmark scored the first 0 × 0, soon after Mexico and Poland repeated the feat.
A game a little more tactical than the previous one, but still without great emotions.
Mexico started to play a more vertical game, always using their (wings) and trying to break through the Polish defense.
Unlike the Polish team, the Mexican team proposed more play and took risks in trying to score, which most of the time were avoided by goalkeeper Szczesny.
Who just didn't shine more than Ochoa, who is in his fifth World Cup participation, and is part of the select group of 4 players to achieve this feat.
The goalkeeper who appears every four years making absurd saves returned and didn't come to play around.
Poland conceded a penalty in the 12th minute, and none other than Lewandowski took the penalty, shooting low to the goalkeeper's left side, who in a spectacular save stopped one of the best penalty takers in the world.
France x Australia
To make up for the lack of goals in the last two games, France put on a gala performance against Australia.
On the other hand, those who started winning the game were the Australians, who after a mistake on the right flank, where player Lucas Hernandez was injured, Leckie crossed for Goodwin to open the scoring.
France's right-back is yet another injury for this World Cup, with more than half of the squad cut, France mustered the strength to react.
With the entry of Theo Hernandez, brother of the player who was injured, France's superiority appeared.
With 27 minutes, Theo, who had recently entered, crossed into the area for Rabiot's goal, to reassure everyone.
After that, with more calm, France dominated the game, valued possession and started creating offensive plays one after another, and it didn't take long until the goals started to come.
Although France was already in rhythm and creating a lot, it was an error by Australia's defense that resulted in Le Bleus's comeback.
In a questionable ball from the defense, Rabiot regained possession and played with Mbappé, and crossed for Giroud to score.
In front of the scoreboard, in the second half, France scored 2 more goals, one with Mbappe with a header, and Giroud again, now with a header. The French center forward equaled Thierry Henry as one of the team's top scorers
